My daughter has named this the Fire Car, which seems appropriate given the goofy flams on the hood. One of the last steps in my plans is to paint the car and lose the flames

They used to be all over here in the States when I was a kid back in the 80's, but now any old school car is getting fewer and farther between. I'm not sure that this was my first choice for a project, but it's nearly impossible to find an older import in good shape. Recently rebuilt engine, newer paint and a decent interior. I think it was almost a steal at $1300. It's really starting to grow on me too.
