Re: My 1200 cool, is this kit from mcdonald brothers? killer, to change to coilovers you would need to change to a four link system with a panhard rod. a lot more work than the 2 link, which is used to eliminate axle tramp primarily.

Re: My 1200 how much do you usually pay to have this sort of thing done? and is it worth doing if you plan on putting out a bit of power?

Re: My 1200 My mate has cut the rear end out of a sunny and is going to put it in his 120Y, he reckoned it would be fairly straight foreward

Re: My 1200 Could somebody please explain the point of this modification??
As far as I can tell the trailing arms don't stop any sideways movement, they must be adjusted to pivot on the same axis as the front of the leaves and I don't see why they would even eliminate axle tramp?

Re: My 1200 axle tramp happens when the diff torques/twists up and changes the angle etc. Those bars prevernt the diff from twisting forward which stops the tramp. Hope that i explained it right.

Re: My 1200 so now you just need to modify a falcon watts link( thinks thats what its called) and put that in much cooler than the commodore panhards that move the diff off centre when you lower them

Re: My 1200 caltracks is another name for this type of setup. as said above it stops the housing twisting and 'tramping' the tyres. i guess its only for take off kind of situations. its a more refined version of tramp bars which i used to run.
