welded up one of the bonnet vents dazzasute 2006/7/4 19:02 Tell a friend 2530 2 0.00 (0 votes)
the other one will be done soon. Just had to put the bonnet on to see how it looked! I'm quite happy with it, plus it saves this section filling up with water when it rains. Heater now sucks air through holes under the fenders. |

Re: welded up one of the bonnet vents Do yours fill up with water? Maybe they were missing the baffles, the water should run out the side.
One of the advantages of the stock vents is they are in the high pressure area, so opening the vent lets air flow without turning on the fan.
Let us know how the new vents (under fender) work.

Re: welded up one of the bonnet vents It has those baffles, but i've found that the drainage under the fenders is where the problem is. there is a bit of a lip just before the holes, which allows buildup. As well as that it is right on a seam which isn't sealed all that well from factory. I know my ute leaks there, as it stinks every time it sits out in the rain for a while.
Besides that its something different, and i kind of like the look.
