since the question wasn't answered, i'll go ahead and surmise that this car's originally from finland (one of the biggest european importers of datsuns) and made its way to lithuania sometime after 1989

my mate has built two buggys one is powered buy two commadore v6 engines one in the back and one in the front and it is an absalute beast and the one he hasnt finished is a similar set up but with two wrx motors this one he will be racing.
I am not sure wat class he will be racing in though

This kind of gearbox with the equal length driveshafts is great for handling. I dont know if the 5 speeds from the later e series is possible but if you engineer a 1k for this type of rear end setup youd save a serious amount of weight with no steel diff and tailshaft (well tailshaft aint a big deal).
However if you go for such a setup youd be better using a later alloy engine from nissan or a lightweight v6.

So thats what the FWD gearbox assembly looks like on the engine... Looks quite cute and compact!

Does the FWD g/b etc. bolt up to all A series donks?

gear shift.... that would be a porblem, after you work out how to get a rear drive shaft from the gear box and make the front suspension take the powered wheels. would be different. would be - isnt gonna be.
