Please give comment and if you have any questions ask as I have talked to almost all the drag racers that took part in this event.
This coupe was damn nice up close.

It is a South African Nissan 1400 bakkie.
The bakkies here in South Africa come with the big Nissan badge on the grill.

That coupe looks cool. Is the front spoiler on the coupe a custom made peice or are they available off the shelf in South Africa?

They sell these spoilers at fleamarkets around here. Goes for about R150 I think, that's +/- $33.33 Aus...

Mmmm, they used to have the normal old 4 speeds, but at some stage they upgraded it to a 5 speed. Apparently it has ceramics in the gears somewhere, but those were just rumours I heard. Not sure about much detail on it.

What one wants to do is to use the 5 speed with a 4 speed diff, you get ultra low ratios then, but crazy top ends...

Is the guy standing next to the ute extra large?, the ute looks like a toy next to him.

Went through my photo album and thought I will update some info on this pic.
The utility has exchanged hands since this photo and is now owned by Boltdash who is registered on this site.
Since purchasing it he has done some improvements on the brakes by fitting Nissan Almera discs and Ford Focus calipers.

About 3 weeks ago he took me for a spin in it. He arrived at the go-kart venue at about 200km/h. Immediately we went off and hit easily 220km/h. Braked, U-turned and hit 220km/h again. Immediately when I got out I looked at the front discs. No smoking and no redness. I think they are up to the job
