Glad to hear the mixed feelings and views, with some valid points.

I personally like any small car that has potential and looks.
There is also a sumbeam and hillman gt version fastback.

Sidey has made a good point on the point to point ability of this car (all independent suspension) which was with such a small engine still able to topple the mini coopers with 1275cc in their heyday.
I only remenber one other car that did that to the 1300cc corollas in bathurst and that was the 2 door sedan b10.

The K series engine is making about 170-180hp I think but a tuned qr24de 180hp (more torque than most 2liters) or even a factory 200hp+ sr20ve.

Nissan + Imp = Nimp.

There are also several twin cam conversions made on the all alloy 1ltr cooper climax engine here is one in france.
