Sorry it has taken me so long to reply, guys. I dont have internet at home. The sound is indeed a whining noise that gets louder as the car picks up speed. Right around 60mph it gets a little quieter. This rear end was out of another b310 i found in a junk yard. The old one somehow sheared its gears. I have replaced the oil twice in about 3-4 months and the tires are pretty much brand new. I do not have mud flaps. Im pretty sure the noise is coming from the gears. My main concern is whether or not the diff will go out any time soon due to the problem. If so, I guess i'll have to find a 510 rear end.
p.s - does the 510 have disc brakes?
