Depends on the type of Monotorque. Their web site says the have a "full range" of gaskets and provide different type os head gaskets.
The kind with silicon imprints on one side are they only kind I've ever had problems with. A cheap Japanese gasket works better than those.
A12 gaskets for 1971-1973 Datsun 1200 do not need to let the oil flow around the head bolt at the gasket level. There is a drilled passage that bypasses that. Newer engine will need gasket clearance there however.
