i have already returned the gasket and will be talking with the ACL rep on monday. yes ACL has gone into liquidation so dunno how far im gonna get. the silicon is supposed to close up against the aluminium, dunno why but it is. these gaskets have the small copper ring in place for where the early A12s had the oiling hole but they dont have any clearance around the bolt where the later motors had oiling past the head bolt. ive always run monotorque gaskets on all my other cars (even a gemmy with 11.5:1 commpression) and i have never had a problem. unless this has just come from a dodgy batch which is likely just be aware and dont have the same problems as me.
chris a monotorque will be fine on such a low boost situation, if i was running 8psi and up i would be weary
and ddgonzal they only supply one type of monotorque for an a series
