OK, I misremembered. Sorry for confusion. What I had originally was an A15 with the small oval port head with swirl obstruction. The intake had round ports, not oval. Like this one from the wiki:
At the time I assumed the round port intake was used to enhance runner velocity for low speed acceleration. Since I was thinking of modifying a stock intake for a side drought carb I bought a proper oval port intake when I found my H89 head. The intakes and the carbs are both gone now so I can't get numbers.
Seems there were several versions of each engine type each model year for each regional market.
