Thanks for your input DD. There are several places in Australia that sell just the rubber strip including Datsport and Scott’s Old Auto Rubber.
To use these you need to remove the staples and old rubber strips from the chrome trim and re-attach the new rubber strips to the chrome. I was just trying to find out how others had done this, as most people don’t have the stapling equipment to go through steel to replicate the factory attachment method..
My preference would be to order the part from Nissan which comes with the rubber weatherstrip already attached. So far I’ve been told they are Discontinued. I know Bprojects sell them, but their prices are to high for me to justify. I’ll do a little further searching and if I can’t find the complete parts I’ll order in the rubber strips.
