Yep, a standard gearbox will live behind an A14 ... but not behind a stock A15. It might live behind a 'worked' A15, if it has less low-speed power than a stock engine. Remember, it's not horsepower that breaks things ... it is power/rpm aka torque (twisting force). The higher the rpm the power is made, the less twisting force it has. The lower the rpm the power is made, the more twisting force.
