Re: 120Y Wheel/ Tyre Upgrade

Hey dude,

I run 185/55 14's on the back and 165/55 14's on the front, on my daily driver. I have no major problems in normal driving circumstances. I do get guard rub in rear when cornering very hard, because on a 4 door 120y the rear shocks are mounted vertically and you consequently get movment between chassis and diff, different on the coupe. Can be solved with nolathaning the shackles and installing a panhard. Up front i get a little bit of rub on max lock. My setup has been lowered prob 3 inches in the front and 2 inches in the back. I think critical thing with the tyre/rim selection, is getting a rim with good rear wheel drive offset, especially if planning to use large rim widths (>6"). The problem on the 120Y's isn't as bad as the 1200 situation though.
Hope this helps a little.

Rob :)
