A member here many moons ago sleeved an A series to 82mm and his engine machinist calculated 83.5mm was possible max That gives 1775cc or 1796cc just sleeving alone respectively. Revs would be better using A15 crank. Grouted bottom end and flat steel plate ladder brace for mains should see a 9000rpm and with the rest done right could see 200hp as the e15 engines supposedly make 220hp in speedway on meth, 14.1 compression and 10.5k rpm with 50mm mech injection. e15 also has 82mm stroke like A15. Only issue is the head would need careful attention for offset bores of that size so prob best use a twin cam head that are evenly spaced like the Mazda B6, Vauxhall cossworth x16x or the nissan ga16de head.
