Head Shims Order Here - Turbo Application, Reduce Your CR - Part 2 PICS!

Subject: Head Shims Order Here - Turbo Application, Reduce Your CR - Part 2 PICS!
by clyons8 on 2010/5/17 2:22:54

Morning,

I have acquired some head shims, they look quite good and seem to fit the head well. The hole that accommodates the locating dowel could be a little tighter but I'll amend that on the next batch.

These are intended to space the head away from the block hereby reducing the compression ratio, lower compression ratios are beneficial to turbo applications. These can also be used to run heavily milled high-compression heads on standard pump petroleum.

The price has changed as I have changed laser cutters, the first group was a great price but only if we requested a massive order. This was my mistake as I hadn't followed up the pricing vs quantity (also didn't read the quote properly).

Price:

Approximately AUD$60.00 (I will try to get this price down).

Specs:

Bore: 78mm (other sizes can be made- please inquire).

Thickness: Stock sizes are 2mm 3mm 4mm and 6mm

Postage:

AUD$5.00 - 7.00 depending on distance. For example $5.60 from me to Brisbane.

Express postage AUD$10.00 approx

Additional Machining:

I also suggest that the items be machined to prepare the surface for the contact adhesive. I can have them machined for you at additional cost - I still need to investigate pricing, but it shouldn't be too drastic. Because of that stuff-up I understand if you can't give a little extra for my time drawing the shims up - I should have bloody read it properly.

Your Order- Guidlines

If you require a 3mm spacer then be sure to order a 4mm shim- you will then need to machine 0.5mm off either face.

If you require a 2mm spacer then be sure to order a 3mm shim- you will then need to machine 0.5mm off either face.

If you require a 1.5mm spacer then be sure to order a 2mm shim- you will then need to machine 0.25mm off either face.

If you require a bigger bore (these are 78mm), please contact me.
