Hey Tim and company (Dimlight A2dubnut), I know you guys are always thinking about new engine swaps for the 1200. I actually got a good look at a partially stripped VG30 in a 300ZX. That thing should fit in the 1200 easily! It looks like the motor mounts would have to be shaved off the 1200 crossmember and brought forward a bit. The exhaust is another thing, it has a crossover that travels behind the engine creating barely any room to the rear so the exhaust would have to be re-done (of course). I have checked out the VG30ET (turbo Z) motor and the turbo mounts on the drivers side of the engine. I guess you would have to have the stupid crossover pipe to run to the turbo unless something else can be figured out. Maybe you could grab another turbo for a 300ZX and mount it to the passenger side manifold...Twin turbo VG30 sounds nice! You'd have to add more fuel (big deal!) the good thing about that is the passenger side has more room (no steering box) for the turbo. You also might be forced to re-do the single turbo to mount on the passenger side because of the steering box/master cylinders. Anyways, food for thought. I think it would be awesome to put the VG30 in (160 hp?), but turbo would be best (200+ hp) if it could be worked out. Talk to you guys later!!! -Andy
