The R145 is most famously used in the JDM T30 X-Trail but has been used in dozens of Nissan since, including the USA Muranos, Rogues and Altimas. Pretty much every Nissan AWD
I was wrong about the gasket and those cast iron units. Those are for the Nissan/Subaru R180
However it seems that the R145 might actually be an R180 in disguise? as the 3.7 gearset is reported by Nissan parts catalog to fit both R145 and long-pinion R180. Well actually it doesn't say which R it fits but the part numbers lines up with both
