My '71 1200 coupe with vinyl roof and four speed only weighed a hair over 1600lbs and that was with a full tank of gas, on the CHP truck scale. A comparable '71 Vega 2300 GT hatchback was listed at a bit over 2300lbs with 1/2 tank of gas.
