unless you had it bored too much, (read that more than 0.080) the original radiator should be addiquite for your needs, could be that it needs to be rodded.
that is taking the tanks off both ends and running a rod through ecah tube in the core
also, I have seen some water pumps where the impeller has come off, or rusted off and look as though it was fine, that's why I suggest you check for circulation
