Subject: not having valve seals on exhaust?

i moded some honda b18 springs to fit my a12. viton and umbrella seals do not clear the inner spring. i found a set of metal positive seals that will and i was trying to put them on and broke 2 because my exhaust valve guides are bigger then my intakes.
i'm thing of running seals only on the intakes. has anyone experience any major problems with running no valve seals? This 1200 will be a daily driver also.
