DIY GILMER Drive A-Series

Subject: DIY GILMER Drive A-Series

(ADMIN can we wiki this when i finish the DIY)

Ok i know a long time ago on here orange1200 set about doing the gilmer drive to his A14 but all of his said DIY got deleted by him so we actually do not have a DIY for a gilmer drive and i said F**** it i want one and ill make one myself and help other out whilst doing so.

So there is rumour that the chev small block long nose water pump gilmer drive is the go. Or others say other small block ones or even a 308 holden pully kit with modified pulleys, spaces, adaptors and belt to fit.

So i have gone out and brought a 350 chev small block with long nose water pump from Proflow. cost $170.00 delivered

The alternator pulley goes straight on, water pump pulley just needs the Center machined out a little and for the crank is the issue I'll either take one of my spare crank pullys get the v cut off the outside and machined with four bolt holes centered up and put together or I'll get an adapter plate cnc for it I'm aiming to have this done over the next few weeks so if it all works out I'll ensure to get the cnc code onto a USB and then we can get a few adapters made up for others whom would like to run a Gilmer drive

Here is what im going for video from youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8nCoqVdnboQ (Admin please add video im attempting to add it as HTML request [flash=,]http://youtube.com/v/"8nCoqVdnboQ"[/flash] not working)
