Hey guys, I run my car pretty hard on private roads and I am assuming this has put a lot of load on the little A12 causing it to split engine mounts.
I'm on my third passenger mount and about to replace the drivers (metal plate has sheared from the rubber insulater). This could be down to crappy reproduction mounts but it seems weird that it would constantly do it over and over.
I've had a quick look in the techwiki but couldn't find anything except for a mention of Jaguar mounts with no part number.
I'm searching for a place that has poly (?) mounts for the engine but hoping I won't have to pay through the nose for them. A few people have recommended going solid mounts but I feel like that will put too much strain on the block/gearbox and start putting pressure cracks everywhere.
Open for advice or suggestions on this matter, one of the reasons I'm still on this site.
