This is a quote I read a few years ago on a forged wheel website. Whether it is true or not im unsure.
Every pound of unsprung weight savings has the effect of reducing overall vehicle weight by 20lb
Are you running a h165? Disk or drum rear end?
Alloy H165 diff carrier.
If you still have drums go to 240z style finned alloy drums.

I know a guy who spent a whole weekend putting the holesaw through unstructural parts of his Datsun after a reshell to end up with a bucket weighing 1-2kg from memory.
