The axle type should be listed on the ID plate, usually in the engine compartment (C=H165, F=H190)
The 56A gearbox is strong enough for torque of an A15. It is far stronger than the original 56L 4-speed
Late 1974 should be fitted with the H150, which is used for A15. It was fitted starting August (?) 1974. In any case the C120 rear axle assemble can be swapped, but is likely considerably wider. 120Y is 1305 mm drum-to-drum
