Hi Morgan,
I got the coupe shock idea off the Tech Wiki;
Coupe shocks are the go for your lowered sedan -- they are stiffer and shorter AND with a longer stroke (not recommended for stock-height sedan as they don't extend as far). The issue is the small bush hole, which can be drill out to the 12 mm sedan size. Be sure to move the bump stops from your old sedan shocks to the new shocks.

Would very much appreciate the part numbers off your Konis
The price that I was quoted was from Autolign - $200+ GST per shock for basic rebuild, $300+ if it needs a new shaft - typical bloody NZ prices....( can buy a brand new Gr2 Bilstein for $300+ from Palmside )
Konis on the front are MR2 rears I believe.
