Mount rubbers break over time due to vibration (and the torque reaction is a contributing factor to this). The A12 doesn't make enough torque to tear them off due to torque reaction alone

Nissan revised the rubber insulators in 1973 to be more durable. They look exactly the same as 1970-1973 units. The rubber is reportedly less soft. Perhaps the bonding method (rubber to metal) was changed too
