A word of warning to everybody Jim Berry from Competition clutches in Brisbane sometimes referred to as Brisvegas found out the hard way on his clutch dyno there are now issues with some of the better brand name fasteners.
He had fitted "Unbrako" brand in-hex bolts to a clutch and felt something strange happen to a clutch he had just built when testing on his clutch dyno and found the bolts had stretched but not yet failed.
It seems that our old friends the Chinese are supplying sub Standard steels to some subcontractors even decent brands such as Excedy clutches he has found recently when rebuilding pressure plates for customers with race cars that the pressure plate diaphragm springs seem to be loosing way too much pressure compared to previous years when a customer returns his clutch for an overhaul for the next season of racing.
So a word of warning if at all possible try and source genuine Nissan Datsun bolts, Jim had to rifle through his scrap bin and retrieve the original Nissan pressure plate mounting bolts to finish the dyno test on that clutch
