So a week and a half ago I got my back motor (A12) back in the car. Initially it didn't want to start, after rechecking the distributor wasn't off by a tooth, 4 times I decided to take a break as I needed to go by my buddies shop. When I got back home the car was cranking kind of slow so I hooked up the battery booster. Upon firing it up it was slowing revving and clearly not on all cylinders. I hoped out of the car to look at the distributor and sure enough I'd got the firing order wrong. I probably wasted a good 40 minutes.
My buddy asked me did you check the firing order "yeah it's 1342". Some days you just have to laugh at yourself.
