yes there are two different length arms which means the two types of Fuel Pump are not interchangeable
* Early A12 - short arm
* Late A12 - long arm
Pumps with the short arm only fit front-distributor engines (before-1974)
Pumps with the long arm fit 1974 and newer A12 (and all A14/A15)
It's difficult to tell by looking as the arms only a bit different
