That is my guess: completely interchangeable
The A15 crank will only fit a "G34" block A14 (1980-up). The earlier A14 blocks do not have the relief cutouts machined in the sides to take the larger A15 crank throws. Also some G34 for A14 may not have this modification (there are two G34 part numbers, one for A14/A15 and one for A14 only)
