Hey dimlight. If you wanna go fowards instead of backwards check out some of the VW manx and comby websites. They love sticking ej20's in their cars and would know how to put it in backwards and go forwards.
The midmount sounds cool though.
as for the rb26. The level of mods required should justify a full space frame. If you did this you could just put longer bars in the front and push the struts further foward and the nose further again. Then you would need to make some fiberglass 1/4 pannels and bonnet. That would cool though. A 1000+hp fire breathing godzilla torquing 4 treads tearing up tarmac in a 1200.
