seems improbable dude...
Some injectors are low impedance (1 or 2 ohms) and require an external ballast resistor, or resistors...
There's usually a 'ballast pack' of 4 resistors which needs to be bolted to something as a heatsink. This might be missing, or not required, or buggered.
Generally, running low impedance injectors on a brain that wants hi impedance injectors, or bypassing the ballast pack will kill the brain, not the injectors...
Non ballasted injectors are around 9 ohms...
Grab a multimeter and compare your mates injectors to you own, and look for the presence or absence of a ballast pack...
