Thanks John. I had a go at doing this and it turned out great.
Instead of a CD jewel case I found a sheet of Clear acrylic at Home Depot hardware store for $5 and cut a shape out of that using a Dremel cutting tool. I predrilled the holes for the screws first however.
In order to get a more accurate shape I used a photograph and traced it on the computer and printed out a blank copy. Then I spray glued the template to the acrylic sheet because it had a plastic covering to both sides to keep it from scratching.
The result turned out great. I will be posting photos of it in my Project Build.
However, I am still chasing the console bracket. The bulb socket I sourced from another member. Thanks for the tips.
