No mods are needed if you have a factory B110 tachometer (the kind with the loop of wire on the back).
Works with ECUs and works with from 1 to 4 coil packs
However, if you connect the ECU Tach signal wire to it, it will put 12V into your ECU, potentially damaging it. So don't wire it that way. No need to use the ECU Tach signal at all.
