Yeah it does. If I'm the high bidder with a $500 max bid and someone else wants the part but they're only prepared to part $300 for it they're likely to place the $300 then incriment from there.
They don't know what my max bid is, and no one ever wants to overpay.
I agree with u though, it is ridiculous to bid 1000 times. I personally know what I wanna pay n if someone outbids then they've got deep pockets or need it more than me.
