My brother has a surfing/watersports hotel by the beach on the border of Ecuador and Peru. The truck is there. I thought about bringing it here, but being the smog laws over here so damn messed up,I would rather keep it there. Over there you can install a jet engine in it if you want, there are no rules for changing engines, all you got to do is change the engine number in your registration for the new engine's number. Here in US,it would have to be retrofitted with the smog devices, which that engine does not have,or else it would never be registered legally. You will see it once I get the pics in the internet.
To bring it here would be to distroy it,a 1200 american datsun is a 72 or 73 car which is alreeady exempted from smog laws(in California, any vehicle 1973 or older does not need to comply w/the smog regulations),this ute is a 199something,we would have to wait 30 years to have it exempted.I do not want to deal with that. I have never seen any utility trucks 1200 datsun in the US. Only sedans and coupes.
