we are way off subject :) however.....great stuff.... yet was referring to tc engines in small deathtraps for the masses to suit a Jap like consumers not the first of tc engine to ever be built and run. Early Europe like Japan also love small crazy cars. In this area the Japanese borrowed heavily from FIAT in every possible way to try and reflect Fiats success. Guard mirrors and styling is very Italian Fiat / Abarth etc. The 1950s italian era is largely ignored by most publications which is a shame because of the beautiful designs and passion poured into many of those 1950s italian small cars. Even BMW and others in Europe under license produced their version of the "Kei" like microcar italian Iso Isetta. However the Travant is a cardboard czech masterpiece.
In the spirit of Abarth the stakes have been upped to suit modern times and modern thinking, not retro but still sweet
