well if you done want them under your leaves then the next best thing would be to put them ontop of the diff so they have the most leverage to stop tramp. but if you cant do that without removing the fuel tank then you will probably have to weld some mounts onto the bottom of the diff and run the bars at leaf height.
dont see why you couldnt have a single bar in the middle of the diff on top. there is plenty of room under the middle of the utes to run it and a single one should still do the job
