The problem with using body deadener on any part of the car. Where its applied to thin paint or exposed metal/bare metal it sweats and will cause the areas to start to rust up again in no time. It needs to be applied to areas that are at the least primed and primed well. It never dries hard and goes even softer in warm weather.
