Hi Everyone! And Happy 2021.
I love coming back here, it feels like stepping back in time to pre fb days.

Well, I have some exciting and not so exciting news on the nugget.

Lets start with the bad:
Towards the end of last year the engine developed a misfire. At this point im running 35psi of boost. Now I have the full bells and whistles elite 2500, fancy AIM dash and all the sensors known to man on the engine.
Turns out you actually have to setup the ECU with your failsafes for them to actually save your vehicle in the event of something going wrong.
For some reason there was a miscommunication with my tuner and he thought I'd done it and I had thought by default he would have done it too.
So fair to say when the secondary fuel pump failed, the engine leaned out and caused a misfire at anywhere from 20-35psi. Now I was a bit daft and went looking for hardware issues over the course of about 2 weeks.....still boosting the car like a madman on test runs (i know - eye rolls)
Well, the inevitable happened and the faint knock of doom started in the bottom end - OUCH!

At this point, I have a knocking engine and the rb25 gearbox has given up the ghost between 3rd and 4th. After a strip down, the engine only had 3 main thrust bearings damaged. The key way in crank was damaged and the ati balancer was thrashed out too as the bolt had come out!!!! Its currently off at the machine shop and has otherwise survived unscathed!

Now the good bit......
When in Rome is the saying and as the saying goes I've seized the opportunity to make a few upgrades along the way....so for 2021 the new revised version 1.something something of this build is going to/has got:

rb26 head studs - drilled block and relieved head
new balancer
new crank trigger kit as the one i jimmied up broke
new colour scheme of the engine
engine bay paint
complete rewire with Moristech PDM module to run it all
ppg rb25 dog box.

Hoping to be back by april with some pics to share with you all.
