Hi team,
Back in the day this forum was well stocked with Aussies. Hopefully some of you still visit here.
When a vehicle is imported into Australia from another country, how much of a rigoramole is getting it put on the road?
In NZ, the rules have tightend up to the point of being f-ing stupid. Basically a car needs to be as new. With any old repairs requiring a repair cert. the repair certifier will usually require the panels be sandblasted for inspection.
Is austtralia equally as difficult, or is there just a comprehensive roadworthy type inspection?

Hey lads. Getting back into playing with my Datto's.

Coupe - Just Tweeked the timing a little and balanced the carbs. O2 was showing in running a little lean at the top end so upped the main jets and wow it loves to rev to 7500 now.

Ute - seem to have developed a serious ignition chop when it comes on boost so that will take a bit more investigation.

Clubman 7 - Its running sweet after I changed 'A LOT' - ( Haltec ECU, fuel pump, regulator,injectors ,added crank angle sensor - all new dyno map ) 148kw in a 550kg car is freekin awsome.

I want to get a stainless stock exhaust fabricated. I thought it was 1.5" but the front muffler clamp (20643-B5000) diameter appears to be 45mm (1.75") from one Russian parts site.

What is on my truck suggests it is 1.5 inches.

If the exhaust pipe is 1.75, then what size is the tailpipe? (could be either 1.5 or 1.75)

I have had zero luck - no one seems to know this.

PS. Exhaust is made from Tube (not Pipe). Tube Diameter is the OD
