Do any of you know this guy ?

I'm here in California an still looking for a solution to my wrecked coupe. Although the price seems a little high, I've got an engine that doesn't smoke . . .

BTW guys, once I figure out a master plan there will probably be some very cherry original parts for sale . . . so keep me updated - especially here in CA.

#23 Anyone interested in an Automatic Transmission ?

RE: Curious about AUTOMATICS . . .

I may buy an automatic 1200 and replace the transmission with my manual.

Just wanted to see if there's anyone who wants/needs one.

I've been looking for another coupe, and I think I've found it, but it's an automatic. Owner says the engine is running strong and he's acually just replaced the tranny.

I have my manual goods to swap out but wondering if it's worth the effort. It's the most decent replacement for my 1200 yet but I don't know if I want an automatic car.

Anyone out there interested in an automatic if I take it out of there?

Never driven an automatic 1200 before. Just curious about them . . .

Also want to know how much work it is to swap out the transmission & how much one would be worth once out of the car.

yah, the pics are on my website:

Sad truth is I just can't afford to get the body work done. I know someone else could do it themselves for a lot less.

No one believes me about this car! I've been sitting on it for a year because I don't want sell her to someone who'll just chop her up! I'll be posting pics of the interior as soon as I can . . .

What I really want is to find someone with a spare front end who can/wants to do the work.

I know the right person is out there, even if you are on another freakin' continent!

Hey, my friends from USA Performance Auto (SE Stark in Portland) will be there. Used to be a father/son team. Brett's father Bill raced out his 1200 and painted it a beautiful deep burgandy. Hope you see it there, but look closely, it's fast!

Brett's the one who hooked me up with my once-cherry, white 1200 (now wrecked). He's a great guy to work with - very knowledgeable with lots of spare parts (although he's more into Z-cars) . There's a guy who works with him @ USA performance named Drew, who was also working on a 1200 project. Let me know if he's done with it!

These are my BOYS! You guys have fun up there and keep your eyes peeled for Brett & that hot body I need!

I miss her. I went for a hot wagon, but she was trouble too . . . Now I'm Datsun-less because I never learned to weld. How about you?

The pics are on the site: Don't be fooled. I got this one from a 1st owner and ALL interior is CHERRY CHERRY CHERRY. Everything under the hood (except the obvious) is still GOOD. Engine has 73K OG miles with new steel seats: she was my daily driver . . . A little help?

1st things 1st: I'm in N.California & looking to get into another 1200 or a 510.
