does anyone know how long your speedo cable inner should be. the one in my coupe is too short and works only occasionaly. i have a a12 and celica 5 speed if that makes any difference.

I was in qld for a holiday last couple of weeks and when on a tourist bus on the way to brisbane we passed a red and white 1200 coupe following what looked like classic hillclimbers or sumfin. I think we were on Bruce Highway. What ya runnin and what did i miss while i was there

i was in the wreckers last week and they had datto 1000 "full automatic" 2 door sedan in for a service. I havent seen any before and it was pretty straight and original. Go Grandma!!

i dunno, hope you find out cause i need new springs too. what other springs can ya use in these things(std struts) The previous owner of my car cut the springs to short and they rattle around in the captures. are you raising your car ?

i know have more problems with my a12 its just turned itself into a kettle. To a14 or not to a14?

Sorry guys i went with the quick fix and got a A12 (import?) whacked in so i could get around. I didnt do a lot of research but the wreckers near me said id have trouble finding an A14 and no one had one or could put me onto one. im in South West Oz

i recently aquired a 71 1200 coupe with a A12, extractors, straight through exhaust and a celica 5 speed. I have a steel 6 point cage to put in it when i get some other stuff sorted. Okay the stuff i need sorting. The carbies float bowl is warped so im told so a new carby is needed, should i put a standard one back on or what else will easily fit. The front has been lowered but it seems to be quite dodgy cause it raises the car on full lock? and makes rattly noises. I havent had a chance to get under to have a look yet but give me some ideas of what to look for.Oh yeah it supposedly has a 1200 diff in it but im not sure is there any diff replacement thatll lower the revs when cruising at 110kph (currently 3800rpm)
Any info would be great and i look forward to surprising a few cars with my lil beast
