Just out of curiosity what con rods is this engine using? Where can i read more about this engine build? Do you have a thread about it somewhere?

Just from reading your discription makes me wonder how awsome that engine must be! I want to build an engine like this for my 180B coupe...

Please let me learn more about it! hehe...come on! I'll give you a free Bump! =)

Cheers mate...fantastic car!

#2 Re: removing windows intact

I found out a way of removing my front window without killing the seal! hehe...

Use a screw driver to lift up the seal from the inside part of the window...but instead of leaving the screw driver there and sticking in another one...i bought some cheap ass pencil's ate a chinese store and stuck them in between the seal and the car. So you just need to lift up the seal in stick in a whole pensil (horizontaly) between the rubber and the window frame. The first pencil is the hardest (like everything in life) but after that it gets easier. Put pencils all around the window frame and near the corners (i put in the top part and the side part...didnt put pencil on the bottom part of the seal...not worth the hasle). After all is done, you just need the push the window out...you be amazed of how easy i will pop out! Worked great for me...hope it works great for you as well...

Just my 2 cents...cheers and good luck...

#3 Re: Can i use any ignition coil? Need help with ignition trouble...
Ronny_CTS Posted on: 2009/6/30 10:41
Ok...let me explain my self better...

My engine doens't run...i feels like its only working with 3 cilinders...so i tried removing the spark plug leads one at a time...cilinder 1 and 2 you could feel the missfiring acentuate...the engine run worse...cilinder number 3 unpluging the lead made very little difference...cilinder number 4 makes absolutly no diference...so i tracked the cilinder that doesn't fire...cilinder number 4...although 3 looks kind os dodgy to...

The compression test read i think 190psi all around...i will go downstairs and check...no big diference...probably like 2 or 3 psi at max of diference...

So where can the problem be? distributor cap? distributor rotor? coil? the black box? or maybe it is non ignition related?

Hmmm...i see...does the same go for Points ignition?

I am still trying to figure out what is wrong with my ignition...cilinder number 4 doesnt work...i have compression tested all the cilinders...everything seems fine...bought new spark plugs...tested the spark plug wire, when 5mm away from the engine block, has an eletric arc jumping around...so i guess it means its ok...

Where else should i look?

Hi there everyone...

My datsun's 310 coil is dead i think...i have an electronic distributor...the one's with the black box on the side...no points...it came stock with the car...because it beeing US version from 1981...anyway...my question is...

Can i use anykind of ignition coil...my car uses a non-ballasted coil...i was thinking of buying a Lucas Sport Ignition coil...like this one from ebay

Ebay link

Would this work? or are there a list of things that may go wrong?

Thanks...

#6 Re: 5 Speed Gearbox from N10 Datsun into F10
Ronny_CTS Posted on: 2009/6/2 0:16
Hi there Datsun120AFII...

I have 2 datsun N10 (one is only for spare parts) and i have sucefully removed the A14 engine from the N10 and have mated it with an 4speed RWD transmission for my 120Y...so i guess all A series engines have the same bellhousing pattern...so you should be able to mate your gearbox with your engine....

But i dont know nothing about transmission mounts for you F10 chasis...

Peace...

Peace...

#8 Re: What clutch to use?
Ronny_CTS Posted on: 2009/3/9 10:20
So let me get this straight...i've got an A14 with an A12 flywheel (forgot to mention that) and an A12 gearbox...

If i buy a clutch disc and cover for an A15 or A14, it will bolt up to A12 stuff?

#9 What clutch to use?
Ronny_CTS Posted on: 2009/3/8 21:20
Hi there guys...

its been a while since i've posted anything...sorry about that...

My question is this...i am bolting up a A12 gearbox to an A14...since i dont have the A14 gearbox...

And the A12 clutch is dead...and i need to buy a new one...it would be easy to just buy another A12 clutch...but...is there any other clutch that i can use? Like from a Exa or a pulsar? Maybe a bluebird?

From what i read from this webpage

Clutch Shop from Wiki

The B210 A12 clutch has the same size or aprox size and spine shape as many engines...has anyone tried any other of these clutches...Like from a pulsar?

Thanks a lot...

Peace...
