Anyone got the piston height measurment for the A10/A12/A13/A14/A15/A12a? ie: distance from centre of the gudgeon pin to the top of the piston. Am just doing a bit of math on
the A series. Any help is great.

I've never spent over $1000 on a 1200 coupe here in OZ. Whenever i have bought a 1200, i allways offer half of what they ask and work from there. Same goes with most cars.

For the first one, its sounds pretty clean inside and out. I would offer around $800-$1000. But i like to bargain. So $1600 is possible if you find the right buyer. But no one
can really make a good judgement until they see it. Got any pics?

Dont sell them anyway!! Sell your daughters not the 1200's!! Or at least borrow some money or rob a bank or somthing!! Dont rid the 1200!!! hehe

Are you located in the US or Australia or where??? If you were close by me in the Western US, I'd be interested in the Automatic 1200 coupe.
Talk to ya later

well for the one with the new interior and rebuilt engine I would ask $1200.00
Australian.

for the other one $800 - 1000 Australian.
What do other people think?

I have two 71 2 door coupes that I have to sell to pay for two weddings that our daughters recently informed us of. One has new paint, carpet, seat covers, and rebuilt engine.
The other is all original (faded red paint) but runs and is very straight with perfect glass and an automatic trans. Any ideas on the value would be appreciated.

The engine you described sounds like a later model A12 (7/73) found in the 120y's. As for the oil dipstick, make sure there the exact same length. Otherwise you might over fill
or under fill your engine and cause damage. If it was an A12a im sure it would be stamped on the block.

Hey guys, as most of you are possibly aware, about a month ago i painted my rocker cover fire orange, now im up to stage 2 of the extensive modification project, after considering the
dificulty that was involved in the painting of the rocker cover, i am asking for your ideas on the following.
I have aquired a very recent A12 engine, im not sure if it is an A12a, it has the alternator at the top left hand side, also with the distributor behind the fuel pump, it doesnt have
anywhere as much rubbish as the A12a in the photos though, so im not sure, anyways, it also has a flat stainless dip stick, with an extension, and looks far more exciting than the
standard one, so i was wondering if it possible to pull out the housing out of the newer engine, its pretty tight, and bung it in my A12 in my coupe, so any thoughts on this would be much
appreciated.
just a bit of a pre-view of stage 3 of my extensive modifications, nana is knitting a set of HT lead booties and covers... ohhhhh yeah.

Hey Dave checked out your engine mounts ect :) very simmaler position to the Ca18det conversion I have done only real diference is that the CA18 sump is a bit higher so I got to sit engine
a bit lower in engine bay therefor not having to cut the gearbox tunnel.
Did you know the CA18 even though it has cast block is 15kg lighter than the Sr20??
My car will be dynoed next week have done quite bit of work with a 400hp roller bearing turbo lots of other smal bits and peices Im expecting around 350-360@18psi. had to upgrade the fuel
system some more to cope with the higher demand a rising rate fuel pressure regulator as well as a 110gph pre pump new 3/8 steel line with separate return for both fuel rail and surge
tank. Cant wait to hit the track it pulls that hard I would be dissapointed if it could crack mid 11's at the 1/4 mile drags (if its gets traction)
