EDIT: it's off its stand, and it's seized A12 and 3N71B (3 speed auto) are gone

120Y's have a HUGE engine bay

tomorrow I will (hopefully) finish wiring it,
and possibly paint the engine bay...

judging by those pics - unbolt your water pump and remove the shroud and the mighty 351 clevo should fit

to get better access to remove the shroud remove your grille and front bumper

2x10 mm bolts on the inside of the guards and 4x15 mm bumper bolts

and after you have the engine where you need it bolt on the water pump

as far as I know 120Y radiator support panels are hard to find

well NOS ones anyway!

one more thing - remove the grille before it gets broken

while I've never replaced a wiring loom becuase it's was an on it's way out - I am currently rebodying my March '77 120Y (B210) four door sedan into a spare July '74 120Y (B210)4 door shell

under the dashboard you will find 2 rectangular plugs - they hook up to the engine bay wiring undo these and the three bolts near the windscreen, the 2 that hold up the dashboard, and the 2 that hold the steering column up

and not to forget your speedo cable

and the whole dashboard is out

use a 1/4 drive set... otherwise you won't get anywhere...

apart from dashboard wiring and engine bay wiring loom I've switched over wiring looms...

those square plugs aren't easy though...

I may dremel the locking clips off if they don't unlock...

the is 4 basic styles of 120Y grilles

The well known "ugly" grille that the 120Y is known for

The early model "coupe" grille with rthe cutouts used for foglights or indicators on '74-75 US B-210's

the late model coupe grille

the late model sedan grille this was used on US B-210's as I have a broken one on The Iron Maiden and the cutouts for the lights are removed by unscrewing a couple of screws

the US late model, coupe grille is the same as the aussie late model, coupe grille but the foglights are indicators

yes and the seat crossmembers are spaced diferently too!

was debating putting in a half cage with new seat mounts...but retapping the original seat theads (bodywork) will probably be easier...

yeah that's what I have to do with The Defect III

I have to make seat rails from scratch... I have spare seat rails but they are for a late model 120Y and TD3 is a VERY (it has a H145) early model

Have a nice pair of (square light) Sunny buckets to go in!

thinking about doing that as I'm not sure if the caliper mounts are the same on early and late 120Y struts

I have the struts I put in The Defect III, and the previous July '74 struts, which have fuctional shockies..

however I think the shockies in TD3 are functional as they made a hissing sound when I pushed the struts upwards...
