this was my first Datsun... went through alot of changes... loss of stainess gutter trim, installation of hotdog muffler and resulting of the removal the rest of it's original exhaust system, and all bolt on panels being replaced of the firewall bar the scuttle panel and being converted from a 3N71B (auto) to a F4W60L (A14 4 speed)

"The Defect" was parked because it had a horrible "tick tick tick" sound - it sounded worse than just tappets... before I swapped the panels over I was mucking around near one of the local gravel pits... thought I knew the car better than I did, I had never driven on gravel, and BANG!, I hit a slight bank, and the car never drove straight again... if you let go of the steering wheel it would pull violently to the right and on the way home it developed a torn upper radiator hose I babied it the entire way home but the A12 was never the same after
...

thet and the severe rust... (NO WAY as severe as "the yellow Peril" ) a previous owner used hession bags to bog up the passenger side sill panel... so you can see light through it while driving!

then "The Iron Maiden " came along!!

until the silver sunny came along I was contemplating rehashing "the Defect" back into service....

I have a sunny/210 (B310) with factory air...

unfortunately It would be a hard/expensive for you for 4 reasons

1. I live in australia
2. it is RHD
3 I don't know if R12 gas is still available in the states...
4 it is a Square light sunny/210

in the sunny/210 the factory air conditioning is intergrated into the dashboard... where the heater controls on the dashboard are is replaced with specific A/C controls....

the dashboard (or most of it) would have to come out to fit it...

it wouldn't be hard to fit I imagine... just time consuming!

as for welling it...I wouldn't sell it... you would probably regret it later!... LOL!

square light sunny seats DO NOT fit a 1975 120Y sedan
I was using 120Y seat rail on sunny seats

the outer tracks do bolt up....

but the inner ones are an inch too wide

they would fit with some modification... I didn't have time as I started at 8:30 this morning and I can't weld - at all! so I put the knackered 120Y seats back in!

I'll give it another go next time I go the farm!

nope If it is original it should have an A12

only the Fastback station wagons were fitted with A14's & A15's...

ugly I think the P76 (and the Edsel) is UGLY!

that Sunny would be a perfect base for a Hillclimb/club car! S15 SR20DET and 6 speed..."eeeeexcellent"

I'd say it's the starter too!

I had a 1961 Vauxhall Velox auto that had that had a problem starting it would crank over V E R Y S L O W L Y

ended up being the solenoid or the motor windings

dad and I got it going only to seize it up solid 6 months later

it's prices like that that make me happy I have a F4W60L four speed

yes a 5 speed would be nice... but considering all my Dattos are farm hacks, if I did buy a car with a 60A or a 60L speed I'd probably sell the gearbox... however if it was a 63A: it'd stay there as I'm not messing around with hydraulic clutches!

But if it was worth $2250 it would be replaced with a L series 63A gearbox - attatched to an L18!
