well 387,019 kays is the most travelled Datto I have...
and it blows smoke like the Uncle Buck car
having said that the front mudguards were welded/ siliconed on!
The Defect III has 70,025 kays on it - but is on it's second engine...
and not much of the original car is left...

I have a August 1977 120Y that has done 387,019 kays... it blows oil out the back window like the Uncle buck car....
I don't think you could get over 300,000+ kays out of an A series without a rebuild

er by "Electronic Ignition" does that include Dizzies with a reluctor instead of points?
I have an engine that came out of a March '77 120Y that has no points - and it's not modified...

the "ministocks" are actually Junior Stock Cars
they have to be stock mechanically
no A12GX's or anything.....
however I have the remains of a Junior Stock 120Y nothing out of the ordinary...
exept it had a F4W60L in it
that's a A14/A15 4 speed folks!
it has now spent time in the original Defect after I evicted it's 3N71B (3 speed auto) and is currently in The Defect III

sounds like it's a F4W60L, F4W60A, or it could be an elusive 60 series 5 speed...
and as far as I know - the A15 four speeds are identical to the A14 gearboxes
I have a 60L 4 speed in a 120Y - and if the gearbox has the factory gearbox mounts thats good
be careful mounting the gearbox up if it comes without mounts...
as there is the rearmost set of mounts on the extention housing are for the exhaust to hang off.. and take care modifying them
the 56A (A12 gearbox) and 60 series mounts are different as the 60 series boxes are wider

that's NOT a 120Y coupe!
and it's not ugly!
it's not a KB210 either...
it's a KPB210 - second generation Datsun Sunny Excellent Coupe
in stock form it would have a top speed of 165 Km/h
the only 120Y thing about it is it shares a basic body shell with the 120Y coupe
the Sunny Excellent is much higher spec car inside too with round gauges and guages for voltage and oil pressure instead of idiot lights

'the '74 sedan will be a H145 (studs and nuts holding the centre in)
the '76 coupe will hav a H150 (bolts holding the centre in)
and the flanges are very different
if the '76 was a Sedan it would have a Borg Warner 68 (removable back plate)
however....
if you have a 2.5mm plate made up.... You can out a H150 center in a H145 housing!

H145's have studs and nuts holding the diff centre in
H150's have bolts
the H150 has larger axles and axletubes too
'74 120Y's have H145's '75's have H150's
I have a July'74 and a July '75 120Y's
as for the front end keep it as it's an improvement for a 1200
