Fitted new headlights today (H4 Crystal Vision) and also new switch. (Thanks Paul B) but the the headlights still come on with the parkers at the first position. It dosen't really bother me but it may be usefull to use just my parking lights. Again any ideas would be of help.
Aquired a power booster for my 1200 coupe recently off Matt. Had a look at the fitting process today. The drilling and cutting through the firewall isn't going to be a problem either is the brake line mods. What about the speedo cable? It is awful close to existing master cyclinder. Can it be moved with out to much trouble! I am asuming that I am mounting the booster hard up against the fire wall with no spacers. Some tips here would be of help
Why not go all the way! Chop down a 9inch, fit a Mark Williams centre, a set of Richmond gears, some 31 spline hollow axles drilled for Datto PCD. (Available from Driveline Services) Worked well in a blown 383 72 Hemi Cuda. I know it's late and I'm getting old and senile
How does the brake fluid look? If it is dirty flush the whole system, it doesn't take much fluid only time. Avoid the urge to use a silicone based fluid (DOT 5). If your car isn't fitted for it you will wreck the whole show. Are you positive you haven't got a disorted caliper? Alloy ones do get this but they often get sticky first. Check balance regulator if fitted. Check control arm inner bushes and radius rods. I have seen cars pull to one side with worn bushes, under braking load you can get more than normal lateral movement which can cause the car to pull. Just some ideas
Phone Steve or any of the other boys in sales at King Springs 07 5539 6700. They can tell you what you will need and who is your nearest stockist. These boys will set you straight. They have forgotten more about suspension than the blokes at pedders have ever known. I have known these blokes for around 30+years. You could also check out their web site: www.kingsprings.com
