will that gearbox bolt up to an a12 engine??
my understanding is that they only bolt up to the a14's

there are blanking plates available for the am head deck. not suer who sells them. but i know they are available

sorry its taken so long mate. i hav some photos of the stereo install in my 120Y. As u see its been mounted where the old AM head deck used to be.

I have mine mounted in the dash....

The old AM head unit has been removed, and the hole re-cut to fit the new head deck.

ah yeah... nice... those 4age engines go pretty hard. u most likely know more on this... but bike carbs? i havent really heard of anything like that goin onto an a12. can u explain that set up a bit for us?

Just so happens im tryin to get rid of an A12 engine and auto gearbox. it was pulled out of my 1976 datto 120Y. Engine was running when it was removed, and gearbox worked perfectly, i think it may be up for a carby tho. thats the only problem with it.

where abouts are u from?

i can recommend pick and payless in blacktown. i know they have afew datto badges there.I think they still have afew grills there aswell. other wise theres a datsun specialist in Mcgraths Hill [so ive heard] not too sure where he is tho.
